DIRECTIONS:
- Cut out four of the face mask pattern pieces from the orange cotton fabric.
- Match pieces right sides together, and sew the outer curve using 3/8" seam allowance. Repeat with remaining two pieces.
- Open pieces and press both seam allowances to the right.
- Top-stitch down the seam allowance, about 1/4" from the seam.
- Set one piece aside.
- Place the felt pieces in place on the front of the mask, hand stitching them in place one at a time.
- When front of mask is finished, match front and back pieces right sides together, nesting center front seams.
- Pin and sew around the top and bottom sides of the mask. Leave the sides open for turning.
- Turn mask right side out and press.
- Cut bias tape into 2 yard-long pieces. Center tape on each side. Top-stitch open edge of tape, folding ends so they are inside tape.

Cute but...
I think this is a very cute mask for a little one but I don’t think it would be wise to use felt. Even though little ones probably wouldn’t keep it on for long, I think it would make it hard to breathe. I’d use cotton instead.

Why?
Why would you do this? It only serves to make the mask harder to breath through, which is not good, especially for kids. Please just use some cute cotton or draw it on with safe fabric markers.
