SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • UV Resin
  • Resin molds
  • Straight pin
  • Heat gun
  • UV light
  • Pigment dyes
  • Jewelry earring findings
  • Wooden skewer
  • Jewelry findings
  • Small hand drill if needed

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Put a thin layer of resin into the mold.

  2. Wave the heat gun over it to remove air bubbles.

  3. Use the UV light for 60 seconds.

  4. Start the next layer and add small drops of the golden brown pigment into the next layer of resin. Swirl the pigment around with the wooden skewer until you get a solid mixture. Drop very small drops of the black pigment and swirl in a small circle with the straight pin to create the black patterns. Again, use the UV light for 60 seconds. Do this for each layer, building it slowly. For the top layer, use clear resin only and harden with the UV light again. Flip the earring out of the mold and lay it on a flat surface. Go across the top surface again with a thin layer of the resin to clean up all edges. Hit it again with the UV light for 60 seconds to harden it. Do these steps for each piece you want to create.

  5. Drill out any closed holes if needed, using a small hand drill.

  6. Attach your jewelry findings: hooks, posts, jump rings using jewelry glue when needed.
