How To Get It

It can be used with curtains of any color or weight and eliminates the need for shirring and gathering. This transparent polyester tape is 0.63 inches wide and designed with rings that are 6 inches apart. The tape is sold by the yard.

Worked great for making a Roman shade
I bought this ring tape to make a Roman shade for my daughters bedroom window. It attached so easily with my sewing machine! Would buy again.

Useless to me, unless there are smaller rods
I had done my prototype curtain and attached this tape at the top to slide along my standard cafe curtain rods. Looked good, so I bought the 18 yards I needed. Went to place the hardware and mount the practice curtains, but the 7/16" standard-sized rods won't go through! Thought I'd buy less thick rods, but this size rod is the least thick I can find (shopping in Long Beach CA area). Waiting for a call-back from Buena Park Joann's to let me know if they have rods that will fit what Joann's is selling.
I agree that the rings do fall off. While practicing, I had to reknot the threads that had come untied. I figured doing that occasionally would still work out to be less time on this project than sewing each ring on separately.
My local store also had the price mismarked in the computer or on the shelf. Rang up as 50 cents more per yard. They adjusted it.

nice idea but...
I bought this tape, in spite of its wrinkled, twisted appearance, because the store was out of .
the ring tape I needed. I pressed it, which didn't help. Bottom line, before the blinds were up
on the windows the rings had started to fall off. I replaced 5 of them at installation, and
continue to resew them as they pull free. I do not recommend this product!
