Tulip Fabric Markers
Tulip Fabric Markets are the easiest fabric markers to use and hold their color just as well as the type you have to heat set. I’ve been using Tulip Products for years, starting with their fabric paints back in the early 80’s. I’m impressed with the quality of their products and how well they hold up after years of washing. I specifically use the Tulip Fabric markers for quilts. My church makes personalized quilts every year for our graduating high school seniors to take with them to college or wherever life leads them so they are always “Wrapped In Love” wherever they go. We use fabrics that reflect their favorites…foods, sports, hobbies, achievements, and have personalized squares interspersed made by their family and close friends. The Tulip Fabric Markers are used to write well wishes, Bible verses, poems, autographs, and even detailed drawings by the people who love these kids the most. We use white Muslim for these squares and the Tulip Fabric Marker colors remain vibrant and there’s never any “bleeding” of the colors. I once traced a picture of a complicated roller coaster loop for one of my own son’s quilts and the details are still as fresh and precise as when I drew it 6 years ago. My oldest son’s quilt was completed 9 years ago and the colors are still as vibrant as they were day one. I highly recommend Tulip Fabric Markers!!

Fabric markers save time.
They are great and don’t bleed. I used them to trace some designs (that normally you would hand embroider) onto my quilt blocks. It turned out really cute.

Markers bleed
I had hoped to use the markers for features on cloth dolls. Only tried the blue for eyes and was disappointed because the marker bled into the material. Definitely can't use for fine details. Did not save receipt which was a big mistake. It is not the fault of Joann Fabric.

pretty good markers for coloring on fabric
I bought these to add accents and highlights to pieces in a "quiet book". They do not work well on felt but do a great job on muslin and calico, Needed to "color" some areas, the colors blended beautifully, with no shadows. The colors do tend to bleed, but solved this by zigzag stitching an outline around each shape to be colored.
They are advertised as fine point, but I found them too wide and soft-tipped for clean lettering.
