SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1 Vase
  • 1 Can of White Spray Paint
  • 1 Can of Black Spray Paint
  • 1 Roll of Painter's Tape

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Spray paint the vase with white spray paint. You will need to apply 2-3 layers of paint.
  2. Let it dry overnight.
  3. Using the painter's tape, apply it to the vase to make a checkered pattern.
  4. Make sure you have covered the white areas that you don't want to be black.
  5. Paint 2-3 layers of black paint and let it dry.
  6. Remove the painter's tape exposing the white area.
  7. You will then apply new tape to cover part of the white area to finish creating the checkered pattern.

JOANN HACKS:

  • Make sure you press the tape in place so that the black spray paint does not get under the tape onto the white area.
