  • Adhesive Remover
  • Spray Paint, Green
  • Spray Area
  • Mineral Spirits
  • Rag
  • Greenery and Floral (random assortment with small flower heads and at least one stem with long, slender, thin foam leaves)
  • Moss
  • Floral Wire
  • Wire Cutters
  • Hot Glue and Glue Gun
  • Scissors

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Remove all fabric from lampshade. Clean frame with an adhesive remover. Apply two coats of spray paint. Let dry.
  2. Cut flowers and greenery into short sections.
  3. Organize bundles of stems for each of the vertical frame members of lampshade.
  4. Cut one length of wire for each bundle, 2-3 times the height of shade.
  5. Secure one wire in a figure eight pattern around the bottom frame and one vertical member.
  6. Layer the stems up the vertical member. Spiral the wire around stems to secure. Overlap stems by placing the bottom end of one stem under the top of a lower stem. Keep the stems close to the frame.
  7. Repeat for all vertical frame members.
  8. Repeat along the top frame.
  9. Cover visible wires with moss, individual small flowers and foam leaves using hot glue to attach.
  10. Repeat to add stems to bottom frame. To keep the look of the lampshade airy trim away any floral and greenery that fills the spaces between the frame members. Keep the spray of greenery to a minimum toward the inside of the frame. Flip the frame often to ensure complete coverage of interior and exterior of frame.
