Beginner Weekend Project

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Assorted Cardboard Boxes: 4 Oatmeal Containers, Paper Towel Tubes, Toilet Paper Tubes, Tissue Boxes, Cardboard Boxes
  • X-Acto Knife
  • Cutting Surface
  • Metal Straight-Edge Ruler
  • Black Sharpie Marker
  • Assorted Cardstock
  • Tombow Paper Glue (with green lid)
  • Scissors

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Use the oatmeal containers to make the round turrets for the castle.
  2. Cover the turrets with the neutral cardstock colors by attaching the cardstock with paper glue.
  3. Cut the flat sides of the castle out of flat pieces of cardboard.
  4. Make your smaller village houses out of smaller boxes.
  5. Cut out pieces of cardstock to make the windows and doors.
  6. Glue the window and doors on the houses using the Tombow glue.
  7. Take the black Sharpie marker to outline the windows and doors to give them more detail.

JOANN HACKS:

  • You can use your X-Acto knife to make the doors open on the buildings.
