SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • Staple gun & staples
  • Home décor fabric
  • Fabric scissors
  • Cushion foam
  • Cushion wrap
  • 1" foam rolls
  • Twill lining (for channel back chairs)
  • Heavy duty home décor zipper
  • Piping cord
  • Sewing machine
  • Pattern paper
  • Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Use a razor knife to remove fabric. Cut along seams and edges.
  2. Use screwdriver & pliers to remove staples, tacks etc.
  3. Layer and replace interfacing, foam & batting as needed.
  4. Carefully removed pieces can be used as patterns by just adding fabric for seams & edges to be stapled.
  5. Use 2" wide bias strips to make self cording. Stitch with a zipper foot.
  6. To form pleats, place fabric on chair rightside down and pin.
  7. Staple new fabric to frame.
  8. Us a butter knife or spatula to push fabric into chair corners.
  9. Use old seat cushion as a pattern for a new one.
  10. Change the look or hide worn legs of the chair by adding a plain, pleated or gathered skirt.

JOANN Hacks:
  • Use electric knife to cut foam.
  • Choosing a solid or small print fabric will save time by limiting matching.
  • If choosing a large print, add additional fabric for matching.
