DIRECTIONS:
-
Size: 10" in diameter; length will vary
- If you want to alter the project, select Customize, then use the tools in the Edit panel to make changes before you cut.
- For best results, chipboard should be opened and left out for 24 hours to acclimate to your climate. If your chipboard starts to warp, place it under a heavy object.
- If you are covering chipboard before cutting, coat both the back of the paper and the top of the chipboard with an even coat of adhesive. Press the paper or photo down with a brayer (or firm, even hand pressure) and allow to dry completely before cutting. Additional passes may be needed for a complete cut.
- Use masking tape or painter’s tape to secure the edges of the chipboard to your StrongGrip Mat.
- Cut your pieces as the following: Mat 1 - Place the silver foil poster board onto the LightGrip Mat.
- Before removing your project from the machine, double check to make sure your project has cut all the way through and perform another cut pass if necessary before unloading the mat. Mat 6 - Place the gold foil poster board onto the LightGrip Mat. Change material settings and blade as prompted.
- Fold along the score lines of the flower pieces.
- Layer and glue each element of the chandelier following the same order it appears in the Layers panel in Design Space, starting from the bottom layer and working up using adhesive.
- Alternate the layered flowers on the inner ring using longer lengths of string or twine. Use hot glue to attach pieces to the string or twine and secure string through holes in chipboard base.
- Alternate the layered diyas on the middle ring using mid-length pieces of string or twine. Use hot glue to attach pieces to the string or twine and secure string through holes in chipboard base.
- Alternate the layered square pieces on the outer ring using shorter lengths of string or twine. Use hot glue to attach pieces to the string or twine and secure string through holes in chipboard base.
- Roll tassels and secure with adhesive. Alternate the colored tassels on each length of string or twine, then attach silver foil posted board circles to separate the elements.
- Thread string or twine through middle holes of the chipboard base to use for hanging the chandelier.
