SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1/4yd yellow vinyl
  • 1/4yd accent fabric for bottom
  • 1/4yd vinyl fuse gloss
  • 1pkg wonder clips
  • 2 wood handles

DIRECTIONS:

    1/2" seam allowance.
  1. Cut four pieces yellow vinyl: 17"x 11".
  2. Cut two pieces accent fabric: 17"x 6".
  3. Cut two pieces vinyl fuse" 17"x 6".
  4. The front and back of back will be doubled.
  5. For front, fold under 1/2" on two pieces of yellow vinyl and clip together.
  6. Insert one handle between these two pieces and use masking tape to hold in place.
  7. Holding the handles firmly, and using a zipper foot stitch as close as possible following shape of handle on both sides.
  8. Repeat for back of bag with remaining handle.
  9. Top stitch the top of bag.
  10. Fuse the vinyl gloss to the accent fabric.
  11. With RST, stitch the accent fabric to bottom of the front and back.
  12. With RST, stitch the front and back of bag together.
  13. Square the corners of the bottom of the bag about 3" from folded point.
  14. Trim off points.
  15. Be careful while turning the bag since vinyl is stiff. Watch the stitching on the top of sides.
