Visible Mending Elbow Patch

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Pattern template
• Scissors
• Cream embroidery thread
• Embroidery needle
• Water soluble marker or chalk
• Wonder Under, 5"x 8" piece
• Iron
• Coral knit fabric
• Grey sweatshirt

DIRECTIONS:

1. Iron a piece of wonder under to the back side of coral fabric large enough to fit two elbow patches.
2. Trace the elbow patch template onto the paper side of the wonder under. Cut out two elbow patches.
3. Remove the paper backing and iron the patches onto the elbows of the grey sweatshirt.
4. Cut a length of cream embroidery thread and knot one end. Back stitch around the first elbow patch.
5. Draw out the placement of the star stitches with the water soluble marker.
6. Stitch the star shapes onto the elbow patch.
7. Repeat for the other elbow patch.
