Perfect to have on hand.

The mat heals well from the blades. Highly highly recommend this set to any home crafter. Gives you the blades you need and a portable cutting mat.

Great all-around combination kit.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great all purpose cutting kit. The ruler is clearly marked and makes for a great straight edge when you cut. The hobby knife is easy to hold, use a standard size blades and the blade guard is easily placed over the end of the knife while you're using it. The rotary cutter uses a standard rotary blade, has a sliding blade guard and offers great results.

Precise cutting & measuring for many projects.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This clear acrylic ruler is well marked with easy to see numbers and defined measurement lines. The numbers are on all four sides and make it easy to get precise, straight cuts. The rotary cutter has a slide lock to protect the blade which is very sharp and cuts easily. The hobby knife has a non-slip handle and takes universally standard blades. The knife has a snap-on protective cap. The cutter and the ruler have a slot/hole for easy hanging on a pegboard or nail.

The hobby knife is staright forward, it han aluminum handle with good grip and a cap for the blade. The rotarory cutter has an ergonomic handle with a safety shield to prevent accidental cuts. Accurate, small and designed to work well.

The cutting wheel is very sharp and lets her cut a stack of 5 or 6 squares at a time. She doesn’t use the knife but I do and it’s really good for light precision cutting.

Handy for small craft projects

The rotary cutter is pretty good for a budget cutter, cuts smooth with no uncut spots. The craft knife is just ok. I had to tighten the blade up twice and it has just a little more flex than I care for. I wouldn't use it on anything heavier than card stock.
