Wide Stripe Knit Blanket

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• 5 O'Go Blanket Yarns (sample was made in Winter Berry colorway)
• Size 13 Circular Needle in 24 or 36" length
• Crochet Hook for Finishing

DIRECTIONS:
Cast on 80 stitches in orange color.
Knit 24 rows.
(this will create 12 garter stitch ridges)
Cut light orange.
Attach blue.
Knit 6 rows.
(this will create 3 garter stitch ridges)
Cut blue.
Attach red.
Knit 20 rows.
(this will create 10 garter stitch ridges)
Attach blue.
Knit 6 rows.
(this will create 3 garter stitch ridges)
Cut blue.
Attach orange.
Knit 24 rows.
(this will create 12 garter stitch ridges)
Cut light orange.
Attach blue.
Knit 6 rows.
(this will create 3 garter stitch ridges)
Cut blue.
Attach red.
Knit 20 rows.
(this will create 10 garter stitch ridges)
Attach blue.
Knit 6 rows.
(this will create 3 garter stitch ridges)
Cut blue.
Attach orange.
Knit 24 rows.
(this will create 12 garter stitch ridges)
Cut light orange.
Attach blue.
Knit 6 rows.
(this will create 3 garter stitch ridges)
Cut blue.
Attach red.
Knit 20 rows.
(this will create 10 garter stitch ridges)
Attach blue.
Knit 6 rows.
(this will create 3 garter stitch ridges)
Cut blue.
Attach orange.
Knit 24 rows.
(this will create 12 garter stitch ridges)
Cut light orange.
Bind Off.
To attach fringe cut pieces about 12 inches in length and use your crochet hook to attach them thru the cast on and bind off edges.
Fold the piece in half, pull it through the stitch and then put the cut ends through the loop end. Pull gently. Trim fringe to desired length.

JOANN HACKS:

• For a large piece, such as a blanket, use circular needles with a long cord length to hold the large amount of stitches. Simply do not join to work in the round and knit back and forth just as you would on straight needles.
