DIRECTIONS:
- Crunch and mold aluminum foil to shape a new curled and pointy toe for the shoe. Hold foil in place on toe of shoe by covering completely with masking tape from the tip to the opening on the shoe.
- Cut curled shoe tongue and bat wing heel pieces from thin chipboard or cereal box. Adhere to inside of shoe with hot glue. Tongue should curl toward the new pointy toe and the bat wings should curl out and away from the heel opening. Secure by covering completely with masking tape and overlapping the tape on the shoe.
- Paint entire shoe with black spray paint and allow to dry completely.
- Use the shoe to create a pattern for cutting the patterned paper into the correct shapes. Lay a piece of printer paper or tissue paper over the shoe and mark out the shape. We added paper to the shoe sides, new curled toe, heel wings, bottom of the shoe, heel, and the inside bottom of the shoe. Trim with scissors. Place each pattern piece to the shoe to ensure a good fit and adjust if necessary.
- Use the completed pattern pieces to cut coordinating pieces from red bat paper, black spider web paper, and black & white striped paper.
- Apply Mod Podge to the backs of the papers and adhere to the shoe. Apply another coat over the top of each piece to secure. Allow to dry. Apply a second coat of Mod Podge if needed and allow to dry again.
- Cut purple and green striped paper strip wide enough to fit across the top of the shoe toe. Cut a round buckle from purple glitter paper. Slide buckle onto striped paper and adhere to shoe. Trim ends to match shoe shape.
- Embellish with black gems as desired.
- Cut 2.25" strips of orange, purple, and green cardstock and 1.5" strips from black monster face paper to fit around candy bars. Adhere, making sure to center the faces on the front of each bar. Place in shoe.
- Cut "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" image from patterned paper and tuck in among the wrapped candy bars.
