DIRECTIONS:
- 45"x 60" Quilt.
- Read all instructions before cutting and sewing.

- Unfinished blocks 1 to 9 will measure 15 1/2" square.
- For blocks 1 to 9 cut from green: (2) 15 1/2"x 15 1/2" squares; (2) rectangles 7 1/2"x 15 1/2"; (2) 6"x 15 1/2"; (1) 8"x 15 1/2"; (2) 5"x 15 1/2"; (1) 5 1/2"x 15 1/2"; (1) 8 1/2"x 15 1/2"; (1) 4"x 15 1/2"; (1) 9 1/2"x 15 1/2"; (1) 13"x 15 1/2".
- Cut from green (1) each of the following: 3"x 2 1/2", 3"x 4 1/2", 3"x 5", 3"x 6 1/2", 3"x 7", 3"x 8 1/2", 3"x 9", 3"x 11". Cut (3) 3"x 3 1/2" and (3) 3"x 10". Set aside to use for strips sewn to completed pinwheel blocks.
- For pinwheels cut (14) 2 1/2" squares from green and (14) 2 1/2" squares from white.
- Lay a white square and green square right sides together. Stitch all 14 sets as shown in Diagram A. Cut on solid line. Open HSTs and press. Sew units together as shown to form pinwheel. You will have 7. Press completed pinwheels and trim to 3" square.
- Follow Diagram B to sew the first 9 blocks together.
- For the tree blocks, make a template of the triangle shape.
- From the green fabric cut a strip 3 1/2"x WOF. Using the template cut 18 triangles using both edges of strip as shown in Diagram C.
- From the white fabric cut two strips 3 1/2"x WOF. Cut 30 triangles. Set aside.
- From green fabric cut 6 strips in each size: 3 1/2"x 4 1/2", 3 1/2"x 6", 3 1/2"x 7 1/2", and 3 1/2"x 9". Lay right sides together in sets of two and using triangle template cut one edge at angle as shown in Diagram C. These are the side strips for the trees.
- Follow diagram and sew into rows pressing as you sew. You’ll have 3 each of rows 1 - 4.
- Match center of tree in each row and sew rows 1 - 4 together. Trim to 15 1/2" wide. Set aside the 3 trees.
- Cut 3 pieces 2"x 2" from white fabric and 3 pieces 2"x 1" from green fabric for tree trunk. From green fabric cut (6) 7 1/4"x 2 1/2" strips to complete row 5 and cut (3) 3"x 15 1/2" strips for row 6.
- Sew the pieces together for the tree trunk and add a 7 1/4" strip to each side for a total of 3 units. Press. Center the trunk to tree and sew row.
- Stitch the 3"x 15 1/2" strip to row 5 to complete the block. Press. The tree block will measure a little longer than 15 1/2" which is fine.
- Sandwich backing, batting and quilt top. Quilt as desired.
- Trim and bind quilt.

Need a full picture
Why do we only get a picture of one little bit of the quilt? If you are only going to give us a peak at it…just call it a block pattern, give us unfinished block sizes along with instructions for piecing and sewing.
