SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • Proofgrade Walnut Plywood Sheet
  • Proofgrade Basswood Hardwood Sheet
  • Gorilla 15G Super Glue
  • Glowforge Printer
  • Computer and Design Software

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Use design software to set up your file with personalized text. You will need a rectangle 13.5” X 6” and text scaled to fit in that shape.
  2. Save file as a SVG and upload to https://glowforge.com/
  3. Cut the rectangle shape out of the Walnut Plywood.
  4. Cut text elements out of the Basswood Hardwood.
  5. Remove protective tape from both sides of all pieces.
  6. Use super glue to attach text to the sign. Allow to dry.

Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:
  • When cutting the rectangle, set the text to score rather than ignore so you have a placement guide when you go to attach the letters.
  • Use Gorilla Glue Duct Tape to easily remove protective tape from proofgrade materials. Use caution on small or delicate pieces.
