DIRECTIONS:

STITCH EXPLANATION:
k4b (knit in stitch 4 rows below) Insert tip of right needle through center of st 4 rows below next st on left needle. Remove the next stitch from left needle and unravel all sts above the 4th st creating 4 yarn "ladders". With 4th st and 4 "ladders" on right needle, wrap yarn over right needle and draw through all 5 loops to knit them together.

PATTERN STITCH:
Bubble Stitch Pattern (worked over a multiple of 4 sts + 3 additional sts)
Rows 1-5: Beg with a WS (purl) row, work in St st (k on RS, p on WS) for 5 rows.
Row 6 (Bubble Row - RS): K5, * k4b, k3; rep from * to last 6 sts, k4b, k5.
Rows 7-11: Beg with a WS row, work in St st for 5 rows.
Row 12 (Bubble Row - RS): K3, * k4b, k3; rep from * to end of row.
Rep Rows 1-12 for Bubble Stitch pattern.

NOTES:
Throw Blanket is worked back and forth in rows of Bubble Stitch pattern, changing yarn color following Stripe Sequence.
A circular needle is used to accommodate the number of stitches. Work back and forth in rows on circular needle as if working on straight needles.
A border is worked all the way around outside edge of Blanket Throw.

STRIPE SEQUENCE:
Work 11 rows with A, 6 rows with B, 6 rows with A, 6 rows with C, 6 rows with B, 6 rows with A, 12 rows with B, 6 rows with A, 6 rows with B, 6 rows with C, 6 rows with A, 6 rows with B, 14 rows with A for a total of 97 rows.

THROW BLANKET:
With A, cast on 43 sts loosely.
Beg with Row 1 of pattern, work in Bubble Stitch pattern for 97 rows, changing yarn color following Stripe Sequence.
Bind off loosely.
NOTE: If you do not have enough A to bind off, use any of the other yarn colors; it will be hidden by the border.

BORDER:
From RS with B, working from left to right and placing sts on left needle, pick up and k1 st in each of the last 3 sts along top right corner of bind-off edge so that the farthest right st is at tip of left needle; k1, k2tog - you will have 2 sts on right needle.

NOTES: You will continue to pick up sts as you knit the border. To ensure that sts are picked up evenly, pick up 1 st in each st along bind-off and cast-on edges and pick up 1 st at the end of every other row along side edges.

* Pick up and k1 st along Throw Blanket edge and place it on left needle, slip 2 sts on right needle back to left needle, k1, k2tog; rep from * all the way around outer edges of Blanket Throw and only 2 sts remain.
Bind off last 2 sts, leaving a long yarn tail for sewing.
Use yarn tail to sew beg and end edges of border together.

FINISHING:
Weave in ends.
