SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 2yds each flannel animal print & cotton for crib skirt
- 2yds flannel animal print for crib sheet
- 1 pkg 1/4" elastic
- Basic sewing supplies
DIRECTIONS:
NOTE: 55"x 29" mattressBED SKIRT
- Cut base of skirt 56"x 30".
- Cut flannel into two 12"x 56" strips for front and back of crib
- Cut flannel into two 12"x 32" strips for front and back of crib.
- Press under 1/4" on bottom and sides of strips and fold again 1/4".
- Press with RST, sew front and back strips to long side of base.
CRIB SHEET
- Cut sheet 75"x 50".
- Cut a 9" square out of each corner.
- With RST, fold and stitch corners forming a box.
- Press under 1/4" around outside of sheet, and again 1/4" for hem.
- Place a pin 10" on either side of corner seam.
- Stitch around sheet stopping and 10" pin. Leave a 1" opening and stitch around corner.
- Stop again at pin and leave a 1" opening. This will be for the casing for elastic.
- Continue around sheet stopping before and after the corners to insert elastic.
- Cut elastic 8". Insert into first corner and sew over elastic to hold in place. Stretch to the next opening of corner, pull through and gather and stitch elastic in place. Continue around to all four corners sewing elastic in place.
- Sew openings closed at each corner point.

Terribly written
As an experienced sewer, I can figure out the details; however, this is supposed to be an easy/beginner project. Again, no one edited the pattern before it went to the site. Please have someone re-write the directions so it can be used by beginners.
