SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
DIRECTIONS:
- 2 1/2 yds Fleece, Base Color A
- 1/2 yd Fleece, First Strip Color B
- 1/2 yd Fleece, Second Strip Color C
- Fabric Chalk
- Sewing Clips
- Clear Acrylic Ruler
- Basic Sewing Supplies
- Optional: Painter's Tape
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut 2 pieces of color A to 47"x 41".
- Cut twelve 1 1/2" wide strips of color B, cut eleven 1 1/2" wide strips of color C.
- Match the color A rectangles right sides together. Sew along the 47" sides using 1/2" seam allowance.
- Turn blanket right side out.
- Top stitch along the 47" sides using a scant 1/2" seam to hold the seam allowance flat.
- Sew 1 3/4" channels across the length of the blanket, resulting in 23 vertical channels, open at each end.
- To weave the fabric through the channels, slits need to be cut through the top layer of the fleece.
- For odd number rows, cut a horizontal slit in the top layer of fleece every 1 1/2". Do not cut through the vertical stitching lines. Fabric chalk or another fabric marking material may be helpful to mark slits before cutting.
- For even number rows, cut a horizontal slit every 3 inches.
- Weave color B through the odd number rows. Weave color C through even number rows.
- Trim the fringe edges to be even. If desired, sew along throw edges to secure woven strips.

It’s not that difficult to figure out
The instructions state to sew channels the length of the blanket, then cut slits to weave the strips through the full length of the base. This seems like an easy project, just somewhat tedious.

How on Earth do you make this?
The directions for this project are terrible! Please include photos of the steps or a video. I was excited to try this project, but bailed when I couldn't understand or feel confident about my understanding of the directions.

Huh? Advanced here, but huh?
Would it be so over the top expensive to make a step-by-step video or series of photos for your projects??? I mean you only give your Team Members 3 hour shifts with only 2 of them working during most days—-even during a major sale!! Come on, JoAnn! Bring back the integrity!
