- One white skein of yarn
- One foam board

- Tapestry needle with wide eye
- Hand stitching needle
- Cotton thread

DIRECTIONS:
- Measure the height and width of your jacket's center panel. Add 1" to the height and width to get the measurements for your woven panel.
- Wrap your foam board lengthwise so that you have an even number of rows until you reach the desired width. Your rows should be about 1/3" apart. Tie your two ends together on the back side of your foam board.
- Cut one 4' length of your first yarn and thread your tapestry needle. Weave it across your warp rows in an over, under pattern all the way across. Then weave your second row in the opposite direction so that the over, under pattern is opposite of the row below. Continue weaving until you are finished with that color. End with a 3" tail tucked behind the warp rows.
- Cut one 4' length of a different color and thread your tapestry needle. Pick up where you left off with the last color. Tuck the tail end behind the warp rows. Finish weaving that length of yarn as in step three.
- Continue with desired colors until you've woven it high enough.
- Turn your foam board over and cut your warp rows somewhere in the middle.
- Tie each pair of warp rows together in an overhand knot so that it is flush with the top woven row. Do this all the way across the top and then all the way across the bottom. Trim warp row knots down to about 1/2".
- Fold top of woven piece to the back by 1/2" and center on panel. Pin in place.
- Fold bottom of woven piece to the back by 1/2" and pin in place.
- Pin the rest of the panel in place.
- Thread your hand stitching needle with cotton thread and whip stitch panel to jacket.
