WOW Stripe Christmas Cake

  • 10"x 16" cooling grid
  • Decorating Tip 1M
  • 12" disposable decorating bags
  • Decorator Icing (4lb tub)
  • Christmas Red Icing Color*
  • Red-Red Icing Color*
  • 12 Color Icing Color Set (Teal*, Kelly Green*, Lemon Yellow* used)
  • 13" angled spatula
  • Icing smoother
  • Small cake leveler
  • 3 pc Icing Comb set
  • Pink sugar pearls
  • Blue sugar pearls
  • Christmas Shapes, 6-cell sprinkles
  • Christmas Tradition Mega 4pk sprinkles
  • Favorite cake recipe or mix
  • Tweezers
  • Scissors
*Combine Teal with a touch of Kelly Green for light teal shown. Combine Christmas Red with a touch of Red-Red for light pink shown. Combine Christmas Red, Red-Red and a touch of Lemon Yellow for dark pink shown.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Prepare cake batter following recipe directions, bake and cool three layer cakes.
  2. Trim, fill, and ice smooth in white icing. Total cake will be 6" tall.
  3. Use squared notch icing comb to comb sides of cake.
  4. Tint 1/2 cup icing each light pink, dark pink and light teal using color combinations. Tint 1/2 cup icing dark teal using Teal Icing Color.
  5. Place in disposable decorating bags. Cut 3/4" off tips of bags for a 1/4" opening. Pipe alternating colors in the grooves of the icing. Smooth cake sides with icing smoother.
  6. Use tweezers to attach sprinkles and sugar pearls along the white areas of the cake.
  7. Place white icing in disposable bag with tip 1M. Pipe swirls around top border. Add jimmies.
