  • Bernat Macrame (8.8 oz/250 g; 44 yds/40 m)
  • Contrast A Natural (66001) 1 ball
  • Contrast B Olive (66007) 1 ball
  • Contrast C Sunshine (66012) 1 ball
  • Contrast D Coral (66011) 1 ball
  • Contrast E Autumn Rose (66016) 1 ball
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • Masking tape
  • Yarn needle
  • Comb

MEASUREMENTS: Approx 8"x 9 1/2" [20.5 x 24 cm].

DIRECTIONS:

With A, cut 3 cords 14" [35.5 cm] long, 3 cords 15 1/2" [39.5 cm] long, 3 cords 19" [48.5 cm] long, 3 cords 21 1/2" [54.5 cm] long, and 3 cords 24" [61 cm] long.
Group these 3 cords together for wrapping: hold 3 cords of same length together and mark 2" [5 cm] from one end of cords. Wrap masking tape at edge of 2" [5 cm] mark.
Beginning with the shortest group of cords and B, wrap cords, covering cut cords, ending 2" [5 cm] from end of cords. Using a yarn needle, tuck the end of B into wrapped cord.
Using C and next longest group of cords, repeat Step 3.
Using A and next longest group of cords, repeat Step 3.
Using D and next longest group of cords, repeat Step 3.
Using E and next longest group of cords, repeat Step 3.

Hot glue wrapped cords in an arch from smallest to largest.
Un-ply loose end of each cord by twisting cord clockwise until plies loosen, separating plies from the cut end up to knot. Comb fringe and trim evenly.
Trim ends to 2 1/2" [6.5 cm].
With A, cut cord 5" [12.5 cm].
Fold cord in half and glue to top back of Rainbow to hang.
