NOTE:
Instructions for Left-Right Double Half Hitch Row:
- First strand on the left is "knot-bearer". With next strand to the right, tie Double Half Hitch Knot onto knot-bearer.
- Working left-to-right, continue tying Double Half Hitch Knots to knot-bearer using next strand to the right of previously knotted strand to end of row as indicated in pattern.
Instructions for Right-Left Double Half Hitch Row:
- Last strand on the right is "knot-bearer". With next strand to the left, tie Double Half Hitch Knot onto knot-bearer.
- Working right-to-left, continue tying Double Half Hitch Knots to knot-bearer using next strand to the left of previously knotted strand to end of row as indicated in pattern.
Instructions for Diamond Knot:
- Third and fourth strands are the "knot-bearers".
- With third strand, working right-to-left, tie Double Half Hitch Knot onto knot-bearer with second and first strands.
- With fourth strand, working left-to-right, tie Double Half Hitch Knot onto knot-bearer with fifth and sixth strands.
- With center 4 strands, tie Square Knot. With first left-most strand as knot-bearer, working left to right, tie Double Half Hitch Knot onto knot-bearer with second and third strands.
- With right-most strand as knot-bearer, working right-to-left, tie Double Half Hitch Knot onto knot-bearer with fifth and fourth strands. With center 4 strands, tie Square Knot.
CENTER SECTION:
- Cut 22 strands 118" long and 2 strands 128" long.
- Fold shorter strands in half and tie using Lark's Head to center of dowel.
- Fold longer strands so one half is 59" and one half is 69" and tie using Lark's Head to each end of center strands previous tied to dowel, making sure longer halves are the outer-most left and right strands.
- In groups of 6 strands, work Diamond Knot across.
- With left-most strand as knot-bearer, work Left-Right Double Half Hitch Row over next 23 strands.
- With right-most strand as knot-bearer, work Right-Left Double Half Hitch Row over next 23 strands.
- (Square Knot using first 4 strands. Skip next 4 strands) twice. Square Knot using next 4 strands. Skip next 8 strands. (Square Knot using first 4 strands. Skip next 4 strands) twice. Square Knot using last 4 strands.
- Skip first 2 strands. (Square Knot using first 4 strands. Skip next 4 strands) 4 times. Square Knot using next 4 strands. Leave last 2 strands unworked.
- Skip first 4 strands. (Square Knot using next 4 strands. Skip next 4 strands) twice. (Square Knot using next 4 strands) twice. (Skip next 4 strands. Square Knot using next 4 strands twice. Leave last 4 strands unworked.
- Skip first 6 strands. (Square Knot using next 4 strands. Skip next 4 strands) 4 times. Square Knot using next 4 strands. Leave last 6 strands unworked.

- Trim strands to round shape as shown in photo.
DRAPED LENGTHS:
- Cut 2 strands 92" long.
- Fold strands in short side is 23" and long side is 69" and tie using Lark's Head to either side of Center Section.
- Having shorter strand as "knot-bearer", tie Single Half Hitch until work measures 15". Repeat for both sides.
- Bring 2 strands from each length just worked to center of work and tie Square Knot using all 4 strands.
- Trim ends to 4".
- Un-ply each loose strand by twisting strand clockwise until plies loosen, separating plies from the cut end up to knot. Comb fringe and trim evenly.
- Xs (work steps 1 to 9 on both sides of Center Section):
- Cut 8 strands 118" long.
- Fold strands in half and tie using Lark's Head to dowel next to Center Section.
- With first 8 strands, work Left-Right Double Half Hitch Row 5 times.
- With remaining 8 strands, work Right-Left Double Half Hitch Row 5 times.
- Tie Horizontal Double Half Hitch using right-most strand of first 8 strands and left-most strand of last 8 strands.
- With first 8 strands, work Right-Left Double Half Hitch Row 5 times.
- With remaining 8 strands, work Left-Right Double Half Hitch Row 5 times.
- Trim ends of strands on angle as shown in photo.
- Un-ply each loose strand by twisting strand clockwise until plies loosen, separating plies from the cut end up to knot. Comb fringe and trim evenly.
HANGING LOOP:
- Cut 2 strands 52" long.
- Fold strands in half and tie each using Lark's Head to center of Xs.
- Bring all 4 strands together at top center of Wall Hanging and tie Overhand Knot.
- Trim ends of strands to 2".
- Un-ply each loose strand by twisting strand clockwise until plies loosen, separating plies from the cut end up to knot. Comb fringe and trim evenly.
