Match in color - heavy fraying
I bought this as a swatch to see if the reds matched fabric I had at home. Perfect match in color. Fabric frays a lot so while I will probably purchase for my project, I will have some extra finishing work. Thank you for letting me know I could by a swatch (1/8th yard)

Asian inspired velvet floral bocade.
I recently purchased this fabric and I must say, it’s awesome! This product frays and gets messy but it is totally worth it!!! If you have pinking shears that should help with the fraying. Other then that this fabric is gorgeous, also the brocade material really gives the garment structure and a nice thick feel without it feeling too stuffy. Another plus is that the width of the fabric is a good length so that you don’t have to purchase more yards. In all, this velvet floral brocade is nice and has a lux feel!

More impressive disappointing than expected
I attempted a high stakes learning project to make myself a coat and removable caplett. I managed to complete it, although I want to make it clear that this fabric makes me question how long my coat will last.
The fabric has problems. It is so loosely woven that it frays badly every time you move it, any curve cuts fray and warp while you're trying to get the piece together. Overlocking everything before piecing it together helps. Do NOT try to make small cut things like button holes (maybe hooks instead); It is a nightmare. Worst of all is that I ended up having to hand sew a lot of it because the gold threads are so wide they get consistently pushed through the fabric by machine and hand needles. Now that it is done, I will pick better fabric in the future.

I bought this fabric and made a gown for my fashion design class. Got an A!!! The fabric is challenging to work with because of the weight, but that gives the finished garment such a luxurious feeling... The entire class was envious of my achievement! I had some left over, so I made a second bias-cut dress... fabulous!

Good quality fabric
Didn't end up buying it. But it was beautifully detailed with patterns about palm sized (a bit large for a corset) and was velvety-like to the touch. I love Yaya Han's collection!
