SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Assorted yellow artificial flowers of different sizes & varieties
- 2-3yds yellow cotton fabric
- Wire cutters
- Chair
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun and 1 bag of glue gun sticks
DIRECTIONS:
- Take the yellow cotton fabric and start to cover the chair starting with the seat first. This piece will be the base in which all of the other pieces of fabric in a progressive manner be attached. Cut out the seat first giving 2' of extra material around the seat and tuck raw edges deep into the seams until the seat is smooth.
- Then start with the arms of the chair. Out of the yellow fabric, cut out each arm piece allowing about 2" over on each side. Push the raw edge of the arm piece into the edge of the seat cushion and then push your glue gun into seam attaching the arm to the seat piece. Repeat this for the other arm as well and then also repeat this step for the back.
- For the front and back piece of fabric, again cut it 2" larger that needed on all four sides. Now you are going to glue the front bottom of the piece to the bottom front of the chair with right sides together. Bring the front piece up to the top of the front, fold over and glue in place. Wrap the side around doing the same technique and glue in place. Repeat this step for the backside of the chair as well.
- Take all of the big flower head and cut them off of their stems. Do this also with the most of the medium and smaller head flowers as well, but leave some with stems about 4" long. Leave some of the smaller stems about 10" long. (These will go on the top at the end of the project).
- Start by practicing on the sides or back. Glue some of the bigger head flower down first in random spots in that area leaving space in between flower heads. Next to the bigger flowers, glue a variety of the other sizes. Make sure to mix up the placement as you are gluing them down. You want highs and lows to the level of the tops of the flowers to give it a meadow look. Once you are comfortable with the look and patterns you are creating, you can move to the front of the chair to glue them in place.
- As you are closer to finishing applying the flower heads you will now insert the longer stems of flowers as the accent pieces.
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Select assorted yellow & white flowers in various sizes & shapes that appear in full bloom
- 1 white flower pot
- 1 floral foam oasis
- Wire cutters
DIRECTIONS:
- Start by inserting the foam into the container. Pack it full.
- Start by inserting some greenery into the base without floral. This will hide the green foam.
- Now insert the floral starting with the medium-sized flowers. Cut them at different lengths before inserting.
- Then strategically placed the larger head flowers. Make sure if they are a standout floral, that you place more than one to balance the arrangement.
- Now insert your smaller accent flowers. These will appear more random, similar to the idea of pops of interest. These can also be accent colors as well for interest.
JOANN HACKS:
- As you are placing the flower heads, pay attention to the patterns you are creating and every so often, mix it up.

Interesting, perhapd
I tried this but became frustrated. A look at what type of chair this would best be used would have been most helpful. More visual clues would have also, improved the ability to complete this successfully . Disappointed
