Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Needle I have always hand quilted with John James Big Eye Needles, size 10, and love the the nice small stitches I get with them. So I thought I would try a smaller needle, size 12, thinking it would help even more in creating small stitches. I wish I had listened to other reviewers who complained how flimsy these needles are. Like them, I too had a bent needle after only one stitch. If these needles had been my first purchase of a John James needle, I would never have purchased any again.
