Rep 2nd row until work from beg measures 16" [40.5 cm] ending on a WS row. Fasten off.

Cut and Assemble Foam
Place Back Panel on 3" [7.5 cm] thick foam as shown in Foam Cutting Diagram I. Trace around perimeter. Cut foam working on the inside of each line.
Cut a rectangle measuring 9"x 13" [23x 33 cm] using 3" [7.5 cm] thick foam for Armrest.
Using a serrated knife, bevel top corners of Armrest as shown in diagram.

Cut a rectangle measuring 24"x 13" [61x 33 cm] using 5" [12.5 cm] foam for Seat.

Using a spray adhesive, attach Back of Chaise to Base of Chaise as shown in Foam Assembly Diagram I.

Attach Armrest to Base of Chaise using spray adhesive. Note that Armrest is not attached to Back of Chaise.

Seaming Chaise Cover
Miter Left Front Corner
Match points marked A and B as indicated in Flat Seaming Diagrams. With RS facing and using a whipstitch, seam tog from A/B to C as shown in Finished Seaming Diagrams.

Align Armrest Cover with Seat as marked by C and D in Flat Seaming Diagrams. With RS facing and using a whipstitch, seam tog from K to F as shown in Flat Seaming Diagrams.

PM 5 1/2" [14 cm] in from Seat on each side of Armrest Cover as shown in Flat Seaming Diagrams for points K and F.

PM at center of both Front and Back Armrest Caps for U and Q as shown in Flat Seaming Diagram.
PM 5" [12.5 cm] up from base of Front and Back Armrest caps, noting that marker is placed on left side of Front Armrest Cap and on the right side of Back Armrest Cap as shown in Flat Seaming Diagrams.

Joining Front Armrest Cap
With RS facing, match the following pairs and tack tog using safety pins, locking stitch markers, or waste yarn as follows: Match E to W, X to F, U to G, and H to V. Using a whipstitch, seam tog from E/W to H/V.

Joining Back Armrest Cap
With RS facing, match the following pairs and tack tog using safety pins, locking stitch markers, or waste yarn as follows: match T to I, Q to J, and K to R. Using a whipstitch, seam tog from T/I to K/R.

Make and Join Gusset
With MC, ch 14.
1st row: 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 lnkhdc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 12 sts.
2nd row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in first st. 1 lnkhdc in each st to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row until Gusset measures length to fit along back of Seat.
With RS facing, tack Gusset to Seat at following points using safety pins, locking stitch markers, or waste yarn as follows: S, L, M, N, O and A.
Seam tog using whipstitch, adjusting markers to be visible on RS of work when finished.

Join Back Panel
With RS facing, align Back Panel to Gusset tack tog using safety pins, locking stitch markers, or waste yarn, ensuring that the points indicated along Back Panel correspond to markers along Seat.
Seam tog using whipstitch from Y to X, X to A3, A3 to A2.

Fringe
With A, ch 161.
**1st row: (WS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch to end of chain. Turn. 160 sc.
2nd row: Ch 1. *Sl st in next sc. Draw up a loop 9" [23 cm] long. Twist loop 25 times. Sl st in same st, allowing twisted loop to coil around itself twice. Rep from * to end of row. Fasten off.

Sew Fringe around base of Chaise as shown, with top of Fringe positioned approx 3 1/2" [9 cm] above Base, and starting at F/X as indicated in Finished Seaming Diagrams and ending at A11.
Twisted Cord (make 2).Cut 6 lengths of A 62" [157.5 cm] long. With all strands tog, hold one end and with someone holding other end, twist strands to the right until they begin to curl. Fold the 2 ends tog and tie in a knot so they will not unravel. The strands will now twist themselves tog.
Adjust length of each cord to fit around Front Armrest Cap from W/E to G/U to V/H, joining ends in corners.
Note: Cord ends will be concealed when Base is attached.
Joining Base
Place Chaise cover over foam form and adjust so Cover is fully filled out.

With WS facing, match following pairs and tack tog using safety pins, locking stitch markers, or waste yarn as follows: Match A6 to B/D, A5 to Z, A10 to A1, A9 to S, A8 to T/I, and A7 to H/V.
Join MC with sl st to any st at center back of Chaise Cover. Working through both thicknesses of Chaise Cover and Back Panel, work 1 sc in each st around, being sure to work around Twisted Cord to seal it into seam. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

BOLSTER PILLOW
Stripe Pat
With A, work 2 rows.With B, work 2 rows.
These 4 rows form Stripe Pat.

With A, ch 46.
1st row: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. *Ch 1. Skip next ch. 1 sc in next ch. Rep from * to end of chain. Turn. 45 sts (sc and ch-1).
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. *Ch 1. Skip next sc. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to last sc. 1 sc in last sc. Turn.
First 2 rows of Stripe Pat are now complete.
3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. *Ch 1. Skip next sc. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to last 2 sc. Ch 1. Skip next sc. 1 sc in last sc. Turn.
Keeping cont of Stripe Pat, rep 2nd and 3rd rows for Moss St Pat, until work from beg measures 12 1/2" [32 cm].
Fasten off.
Sew first and last rows tog using whipstitch to form tube.

Bolster Cap Motif (make 2)
Note: Join all rnds with sl st to first st (sc of hdc).

With A, ch 8. Join with sl st to first ch to form a ring.1st rnd: Ch 1. 18 sc in ring. Join. 18 sc.
2nd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as sl st. *Ch 3. Skip next 2 sc. 1 sc in next sc. Rep from * to last 2 sc. Ch 3. Skip last 2 sc . Join. Fasten off.
3rd rnd: Join MC with sl st to first ch-3 sp. (1 sc. Ch 3. 5 dc. Ch 3. 1 sc) all in same ch-3 sp. (1 sc. Ch 3. 5 dc. Ch 3.1 sc) in next ch-3 sp. Rep from * around. Join.
4th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as sl st. *Working behind sts in previous row, ch 5. 1 sc between next 2 sc. Rep from * around, ending with ch 5. Join.

Place Bolster Cap Motif over Bolster Cap Liner, aligning any sps between sc sts in Motif over first hdc of last rnd.

Join Bolster Cap Motif with Cap Liner: 1st rnd: Ch 2. *Working in next sp between 2 sc of previous rnd of Motif and through corresponding hdc of previous rnd of Liner, 1 hdc. 1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc of Liner. 2 hdc in next hdc of Liner. Rep from * around. Join.
2nd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st around. Join. Fasten off.

Align Bolster Cap around circumference at end of bolster with WS facing. Working through both thicknesses, join A with sl st.
Next rnd: Working from left to right instead of right to left as usual, work 1 reverse sc in each st around. Join. Fasten off.

Stuff with polyfill (and catnip if desired). Rep joining rnd for opposite end of Bolster.
