How To Get It
NuFoam is a safe alternative to conventional foam that is made from densified polyester batting.Fairfield's NuFoam won’t yellow or disintegrate. It’s perfect for chair cushions, deck furniture, camping, futons, play mats, recreational vehicle accessories, and more. Made from compressed layers of 100% polyester that range from 1″ to 4″ thick. NuFoam works best for occasional seating as it will compress over time. We recommend using NuFoam that is 1″ thicker than your intended cushion to allow for compression. It will be a snug fit inside the cover. Non-allergenic & Unconditionally guaranteed.

What you get shipped vs what you get in the store = different
I bought this last year to be shipped to me and it wasn't as thick as I thought, but reviews confirmed that so I just went with it. I needed more this year so I just submitted my order again, but to be picked up in the store and I got a different thickness. This time much thicker. Now my project isn't going to match and I'm not sure how to get the stuff I originally bought since online it says it's the same thing.

This is NOT 2" thick
I ordered 5 yards of this a few weeks ago and the Nu Foam I was sent was nowhere close to being 2 inches thick. Thinking the one inch thick foam had been mistakenly put in the 2 inch foam box, I returned it to my local JoAnn and ordered another 5 yards (one box). That arrived and once again the foam was about 1 inch thick. Interestingly enough there was another label on the box that was from another woman in Utah who had also returned it, so there obviously is a problem with the manufacturer. My first box was completely sealed as it comes from the manufacturer. As you see in the page for the 2 inch, they show the thickness by putting a quarter next to it and the foam is about an inch thicker than the quarter. I put a quarter next to a cut end of the stuff I was sent, and it clearly was the one inch material. I don't blame JoAnn, but they should be talking to their vendor for the Nu Foam. I ended up buying a different brand and it's definitely 2 inches thick.

Great quality and durability
I used this foam for my couch that my husband and I made. We layered 5 of the 2" foams for the seating of the couch. It came so good! We layered 4 of the 2" foams for the back side of the cushion. This couch is extremely comfy and it looks really good.

Used this several times
I used this to make cushions for our patio chairs; I have left these out in the rain numerous times. They have did not get moldy like my last set did. When I needed to recover my patio cushions because sun had faded the material over a few years, I was able to use the inside cushion foam for the new pillows. I'm currently re-upholstering dining chairs, using the original foam. Since the original foam is a little worn, I am adding a layer of Nu-Foam. I would highly recommend this product.

Great Dog Bed
This product is not a thick, condensed oil based foam...it allows more air flow and can be washed. I used it for my dog's bed and it is great. Allows me to soapy wash it and hose it down. Dries nicely. For the price, great as you can wash it, unlike foam.
