How To Get It
A great substitute for starch or sugar-water stiffeners, this is suitable for most fabrics and trims. Use it to stiffen doilies, fabric, lace, ribbons and appliques. It's water resistant and easy to color-just mix in the acrylic paint color of your choice.

Way too thick
I bought this for making Halloween ghosts and it was way too thick to work with the cheesecloth that I had. I had to thin it before using. Much thicker consistency than the other brand thickener that I had used in the past.

Crochet stiffener
It worked great! I made a crochet crown, soaked the finished piece in the product, then shaped it around a large coffee can (wrapped in saran wrap) overnight. Just slid it off the can and let it continue to dry (still a tiny bit damp in the morning). Will use again!

Christmas ornaments
I bought the Aleens fabric stiffer and draping liquid to starch my homemade Christmas ornaments I made. The stuffy I bought at joanns before did not do the job but was all I could get at the time those went in the garbage. The Aleens arrived and I went straight to work and they couldn't have turned out better. Love Aleens

Very happy with product!
I used this on a cheese cloth halloween project. Worked perfectly! I ended up mixing water with it to dilute it (bottle says to do so if you don't want the stiffiner to be as thick) and I still have half the bottle left for other projects!

Fabric Stiffener
I tried this to make a ghost with fabric for Halloween. It worked pretty well, but it did take some time for it to dry completely. I would suggest using a thin material. It is a very thick product.
