Not worth the money
These button covers are not worth my dime. I, like some others am trying to sew them onto a cushion but the backs keep popping off of the front part. There is nothing for the aluminum backing to grab on to in order to be secure. Don't feel comfortable giving this cushion to my customers using these buttons.

Doesn't work for mid weight upholstery
Needed to replace couch seats and backs. Backs need 24 covered buttons. Covered 7, then the pusher broke. It's plastic so doesn't hold up to repeated use.

Didn't work for my cotton fabric
These were extremely difficult to work with. Once I wrapped the fabric around the botton cover and pushed it into the rubber holder, the button back would sometimes stay in place, but mostly it wouldn't. After attaching the front to the back, the back would pull off when I attempted to remove it from the rubber holder. Even if I got it out of the holder, the back would come off once the button was sewed on. I've covered buttons many years ago and never had this issue. The aluminum seemed very cheap. Also, I used the smallest size button this time. Maybe it works better
with larger button or if you use a glue gun to keep the back from coming off.

great buttons to use
Dritz 5/8" cover buttons are used for my children's choir vests at Christmas so we make many of them! Each vest has 2-6 buttons, depending on the size (ages 8-18). Each fall there are students who need new vests; 2 weeks' worth of Christmas singing and choreography in December means lost buttons - and we are ready for them! Dritz buttons are easy to cover with the kit - a very relaxing job for me to do while I sit through concerts or watch a movie at home.
