The screw to the battery compartment will not come off. it is a simple flashlight and I have considered just breaking it and replacing it with something that will work. EXCEPT the crystals grow on the glass, not on the stones provided, and getting them out is very very difficult. Unfortunately my grand daughter is supper excited by this so I will continue to try to find fixes. I cannot recomend this product at all.

Light falls off
I was super excited to do this with my 2 1/2 yr old- we just didn't do the crystal growing activity. The stickers were fun, and she was able to help with almost everything. She got sidetracked easily but that's a toddler! The only down side is that the light fell off. Which was surprising because the only thing done to it was my husband put batteries in. We are currently trying to glue it back on with some loctite super glue. Overall would definitely recommend because it is super cute!!

Cute craft for kids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter totally loved putting this Mermaid terrarium together. It's a good size for her night table and it also lights up so she uses it sometimes as a night light. The instructions was easy to follow she did not need much help putting it all together.

Great Terrarium
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only reason I am not giving this five stars is because the light that is on the lid is pitiful. The little ones wanted to make it into a little goldfish tank or a betta tank with a live fish in it and we had to put another light source on the lid and it is great!!

Super cute!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 year old daughter absolutely loved doing the crystal mermaid terrarium! It was definitely fun doing it together. For the most part..setting it all up was fun and easy. She loved watching the crystals grow throughout the day. The instructions were pretty plain and simple.
