NOT GOLD
I'm not sure why "gold" is in the title of this product, it's very misleading. I thought I must have clicked the wrong product when an unfinished light oak frame showed up at my door.
I thought I was looking at a tarnished gold finish in the photos given the literal name of the product being "Gold Braided Portrait Frame" and it coming up in the results when I searched "gold poster frame"
That being said, it IS a nice frame if you were looking for a soft wood tone, and the photo it comes with is even nice as well. I always appreciate when stores don't print the dimensions of the frame on the photo inside.

Wooden and carved edge
It looks matte gold in some of the photos. However it is a beautiful wooden frame with a carved edge that looks beautiful. The matte is thin but it works well. I even like the little poster.

Gorgeous but not golden
In the photos there almost seems to be a mattified gold effect. That is not the same as in person. It's wooden, no sheen, no shine. I think it looks beautiful. The matte is very thin. It's enough, but it's thin. I will be buying more. It's a very natural frame with an almost carved edge esthetic.
