The June Tailor® Quilter's Cut'n Press Cutting Mat is a functional and portable tool for quilting enthusiasts. This tool is designed as a two-sided ruler-marked board and can be used to cut, square and press the smallest quilt fabrics. One side of the board is a sturdy cutting surface that comes with printed angles and bias lines. It does the job BUT SMELLS!!
I bought this to use as a little craft ironing surface. It works fine, but the entire item STINKS. I can't tell if the smell is in the padding, but that's my guess. I now have taken it outdoors to air out. It came shrink wrapped so perhaps that is why it developed a smell.

Don’t iron wet
I have another June Tailor Pressing board which works great. This one, when I started to use it with my Rowenta Focus iron on Cotton setting full steam, started to leach white dye onto the sole plate of my iron that wouldn’t come off on a separate towel. I thought I could fix it by ironing damp cotton over the whole surface to take the white off the fabric board and off the iron, but neither happened.
I understand on muslin, the printed grid needed to stand out, but if you use any high steam or spray and get the pressing board wet, the white dye will get on your soleplate. The only thing that removed it was the Rowenta iron cleaner. I now iron with a piece of fabric over the board. Otherwise, it’s a great product.

STINKS
I opened this package and was excited about it showing my husband. He backed away from me thinking I had passed gas. Turns out its the mat that smells like dog dookie.

Love the simpleness of the it with the size it is so easy to take with and use along side of your sewing machine however it is a bit thinner than the last one like this i purchased a bit disappointed. overall would buy it again.

looks nice
I had seen this product used on a quilting tutorial and it looked like it would be handy to use when making log cabin quilt blocks. I could have it right next to my machine and wouldn't have to keep getting up to iron and cut. At first it was great, but the more I used the pressing side it made the cutting side start to bow in the middle and now it won't lay flat. I really like the pressing side, but now that the cutting side is bowed and won't lay flat it just keeps moving around when I try to press anything on it.

Exactly what I needed!
This is exactly what I needed to make my squares for my quilt I'm working on. I don't have to drag out my ironing board to iron my material. I can cut squares on one side and iron on the other. Perfect! Very happy with my purchase.
