Knit with this yarn!
This yarn works up way easier with knitting, as opposed to crochet. I found that it's slightly difficult to do a k2tog decrease when you hit the scrubby sections of it, but definitely worth pushing through. The texture is so satisfying!
The bits where it changes from one texture to another could be smoother, but overall I'm very happy with my finished piece.

Scrub Off
I made face cloths with Scrub Off and gave them to some of my friends. We live in a Seniors apartment building and the air is very dry. This causes some of us to have very dry skin. Scub off cloths help exfoliate our dry skin in a gentle way.

Fun project
I had fun making the project featured on the ball of cotton. The yarn itself isn’t perfect, the variegated white/stone does leave a dirty look, and occasionally there are very thin pieces of yarn that need extra attention to hide in the project. Overall I would recommend it for something a bit different.

This yarn is a nightmare!
When used for crocheting, it is impossible to see the stitches. The basic idea of smooth yarn and “scrubby” yarn combined is a good one, but working with this yarn will make you crazy! I wish I could get balls of just the smooth section yarn because that is quite nice - much nicer than regular kitchen cotton.

So disappointing.
I bought this a week ago in store. Thought the combination of red white & blue yarn with scrubby yarn would make an interesting & pretty dish cloth. It did NOT. Very POOR joins of different types and colors of yarn. Colors were not true. At one point a portion of the scrubby yarn was bald for 6-7 inches, just a singke bald thread in that section. The white scrubby portion varied between white & a stone color, just leaving patches that look like dirty or discolored sections. I rarely leave reviews, but I have knit many skeins of cotton yard and scrubby yarn previously including many with varied colors, but none has ever been as poor in quality & color as this. So felt I really must comment on this poor one. But I will also say that usually I do like shopping at JoAnns, and have enjoyed many other skeins of Sugar 'n Cream cotton yarn. Just not this one . . .

Perfect for my purpose
I've been making soap sacks with regular Sugar n Cream, which I love, but they didn't exfoliate as much as I wanted. This is exactly what I needed, and the Greens colorway works up beautifully! Will definitely need to buy more.

Love it!
Makes Great washcloths. I prefer reg scrubby yarn for dishes because of the higher texture, but this is the BEST for a nice exfoliating washcloth in the bath. Or use it with a facial mask and your face will feel WONDEEEEEEEEEERFUL! I gave Many of these for gifts and they were Extremely well received. There is that issue with the join and it's not always smooth. When you split nearly any yarn, it's not smooth. At least this does transition. I love it! Takes some time to get used to. And not always easy to work with.
