Changed wrapper and yarn. Why?
I purchased another skein of pound of love to finish a project. The wrapper was changed but I figured no big deal. Much to my dismay the weight of the yarn is heavier now. I can’t use the skein I purchased to finish my project. Very disappointing. The weight of pound of love is what I especially loved about that yarn.

So Soft
I love using Pound of Love Antique White. It is perfect for using in my granny square afghan. The Antiqe White is a creamy, soft color and perfect for breaking up the dark colors. The yarn is so easy to work with and soooo soft.

Quality
I got 36 rows out of the first skein, 34 rows out of the second skein, and 32 rows out of the third skein. Because I used 2 different colors for my project, I was forced to buy another skein to finish my project, which in the end had 3 miles, yes, 3 MILES of yarn.

Good price but hard to work with.
I like having a bigger ball of yarn so there aren't so many ends to hide and the price is great. But... this yarn is hard to work with because the strands gap and I find myself inserting my hook into the middle of the strand of yarn itself. Wont buy this again.

No longer soft
I have been using this yarn for years for baby blankets and the finished product was always very soft. However, I bought more about 3 weeks ago and it is not nearly as soft as it always has been. I am very disappointed. I will be returning the unused skeins.

Pound of Love great yarn.
I started making other things and not just Afghans. I just happened to go into the store in Moses Lake, Wa when the Pound of Love yarn was on sale. I brought several colors because I know the price of yarn and you had a fabulous price. I love to crochet so now I can till my heart’s desires. Just having a problem with storing.

What a tangled mess
I bought 10 skeins of this. While some were OK, I have now spent over two hours trying to untangle this skein. At least half of the skein is out of the middle! Probably have at least another hour to go. The up side, the youngest cat is sleeping and hopefully won’t get the notion to play with all the loose yarn.

Has anyone else noticed a change in quality?
It seems like since the new look of the label, this yarn has gone down in quality. It doesn't seem as tightly woven. I've also noticed, after purchasing two different colors, that approx. 50 yards into both skeins, the yarn comes to an end suddenly. I've been using this yarn for years and haven't run into this issue before. I will be looking for a substitute for this yarn that is comparable in size and weight of skein.
