This rotary cutter can easily cut fabric, paper, leather, vinyl, matboard and foam in any direction. It comes with easy-to-change tungsten steel blades and a heavy-duty setting for extra layers and heavyweight fabrics. Both left and right hand users can use it without changing the blade. The heavy-duty setting of this cutter is ideal for extra layers and heavyweight fabrics. Soft-cushion handle reduces wrist strain and cutting fatigue and finger ridges provide a firm grip and reduce slipping. For best results, use the Omnigrid 45 mm rotary blades with this rotary cutter. You can also use it with standard 45 mm blades.

Omni Rotary cutter
Fits well in hand, positioning correctly to reduce hand stress. A bit awkward, though, pressing down that moves blade into action after engaging the blade with the lever. It is a good safety feature—time will tell how the blade lasts!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been thinking of getting my mom a rotary blade, and I am excited I saw this one. I like the safety features, that it fits comfortably in the hand, and that it's easy to use. She doesn't struggle with using the rotary cutter and it's a lot easier on her than using scissors. Overall, great product.

Cuts ok
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was using this to cut fabric along the edge of five bulletin boards for school. It cuts ok but I had to go back over some spots. I'm not sure if it dulled due to the bulletin board backing, but by the end it just wasn't cutting as smoothly as it had started. It still works fine but seems to need sharpening after one evening of use.

So great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rotary cutters are the only way to go when fabric is involved. I'm terrible at cutting straight lines so scissors are a nightmare. I much prefer a good rotary cutter and a ruler on a mat. It makes my life easier. So this one by Omnigrid, which feels great in the hand, is exactly what I needed. The blade is super sharp from go so you can get right into crafting or quilting or whatever it is you do! I love the safety mechanism. There's no push button like on most cutters to expose the blade. You just press down and the cover pulls back and off you go so there's no accidentally leaving it open (something I would totally do) and then picking it up wrong and hurting yourself. This is a great product and should definitely be a staple in your craft bag.
