Rated 1 out of 5 by from STOP do not buy, zero rating as other people found out after it's bleached any fabric to white, in my case it was black so completely ruined project. I tried to read how to from the back, nothing there. Can anybody explain why you need put bleach into this glue ??? and don't warn people ??? Aleene maybe knew this... Real bad piece on Joann nice inventory list, need to get rid of it. My mistake that I didn't read these reviews, not sure how it got it's good rating..??? Dai

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this stuff!!! I use this when I work with silk velvets to prevent fraying. It works great!! I also am a Native American bead worker and use this throughout my beadwork to protect threads from falling apart or fraying. I would be at a loss without this stuff.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Aleene's Fray Stop As the name implies this does stop the fraying. However, it is the constituency and color of Elmer's white all purpose glue. It does leave a thick residue even when rubbed in fabric. The area where applied remains firm and in some places sticky to touch not like invisible kind. This is rough actually for use on the inside of a garment. (Not good for kids sensitive skin unless they are wearing full set of long johns.) I can't tell you about change of color as I used on same color for all my needs - cream color. I will purchase again (low price) but I will be very selective about what this is used for. Not good next to unprotected skin. And Aleene's stop fray cream is hard to remove off your fingers, etc. Does seem to dry clear on skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use it for crochet projects - Can't do without it For years I was unhappy with how my crochet project looked after repeated washings. They ends would peek through my grannie square mutliple colored project so I stopped doing multiple colors. I finally found this product and tried it and now I don't give projects without treating the ends with Stop Fray. It's an extra step but well worth it in the long run. My son's baby blanket still looks great through hundreds of washings & I still haven't seen ends.
