Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very nice end product. This was the third Dimensions Christmas Stocking I've made. I love the complexity of the patterns and the depth of color, however, there are a few problems. First of all, for all three stockings there has been a shortage of floss. Although the company will send you more, it delays the project making it impossible to complete in time. Secondly, for this stocking in particular, I found the quality of thread very poor. It often frayed and broke creating frustration and delays. I would prefer to receive the pattern and a list of suggested colors from DMC. That way, I could ensure I would never run out and the quality would be higher. Finally, since the white felt backing was cheap looking, I used a red velvet instead which produced a much nicer result. Even with these problems, I'm proud of the beautiful stockings I have made and I am about to start a new Dimensions stocking for my grandbaby.

Instead of the long backstitch outlines, I would have used the couching technique, where you tack the thread in place. It would have made this stocking even more beautiful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice I really like the design and colors. This is a nice project for someone without a lot of experience, but not a beginner projece. I really don't like the long backstitch outline. Looks sloppy. Otherwise I think the result is really nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The design and color coding is very intricate and detailed. The finished piece looks awesome, way better than I had imagined. I bought it to gift at Christmas. It took me a little over 3 months to complete. The end result made it totally worth the time spent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought 2 of these stockings and finished them both in time to give away for Christmas 2004. The coloring and shading in them are fantastic. So much detail, they look great when they are complete. I had a hard time giving them away,but knew they would be well received by both of the receivers.
