No longer heals
I received this mat as a gift two years ago. It will no longer heal itself. I'm bummed, I really liked this matt and do not wish to throw it away if it can be repaired. Also sucks that the new policy with the cutting mats changed begin of this year right before I started having issues :(

Great Product - Terrible packaging
When this arrived I excitedly opened it, ready to get started on my project; only to discover that it had been rolled up and secured with very sticky (VERY STICKY) tape. I've already spent 20 minutes trying to remove the sticky residue that was left behind and I'm not even half way through.

Fantastic mats!
I have this mat and 2 of the smaller cutting mats. I've had all my mats since 2017 and they're still looking great! My larger one is just starting to show some wear on the lighter side, but I cut quite a lot on that side. I'm a quilter.

Fiskars Cutting Mat 😢
I have the smaller mat and I'm not happy with the "self-healing" feature because I can actually see and feel cuts I've made, more on the dark side. I love the size as well as the sturdiness but, I would not purchase again. I really really like the very small one I purchased at a local crafty store because it really does heal itself.

Excellent Quality Cutting Mat
All of my rotary cutters and cutting mats are Fiskars brand and I would highly recommend this brand because of the quality. After awhile the cutting mat will have too many cuts to be usable, but because it is double sided, it is easy to flip it to the other side and it will last a long time. Having a larger mat is definitely nice.

A must-have for anyone who cuts fabric
I purchased two of these. One for using with my rotary cutter to cut out pattern pieces in fabric, and another that I use only for measuring to cut fabric yardage that has sold. I sell a lot of 1-yard cuts, and this makes it perfect to lay the fabric on top, line it up on one end, then cut on the other end with scissors. The mat is thick enough that I can use the scissors to glide along the edge of the mat. I don't use the same mat that I use for the rotary cutter because it does get rough and snags my knit fabric.

A really good surface
The cutting mat is pretty good, it does not have any non-stick surface or anything, so be careful putting down sticky things like glues or tapes. It can be pierced with a blade, so paper cutting will require a replacement eventually. This product is flimsy so you need a solid surface to rest it against, it is not the hard melamine type cutting mat.

This is just what I needed!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This extra large cutting mat is just what I needed and never knew it! I am so glad we got this! I use it for all sorts of crafts and it is durable and really serves a lot of purposes for us! My favorite is for my cricut!
