3M-Scotch Removable Poster Tape. This tape is sticky on both sides so you can quickly and easily mount posters; photos; and other lightweight items with no damage to walls. For use on wood; ceramic tile; gloss and semi-gloss painted walls; concrete; glass; and refrigerators. Holds up to 1/4lb. This package contains 4.16yd of 3/4in wide removable poster tape. Not recommended for use on wallpaper; delicate surfaces or walls painted with flat paint. Made in USA.

Great tape, application/dispensing could be better
Excellent product that I have used in retail and libraries for about 20 years. The backing is a pain to take off, as other comments indicate, but I still know of no better product on the market for posters or flyers that won't damage walls even if left up for a long time. I would like to see 3M offer this boxed, for use in a desktop dispenser.

Great Product for Smooth Surfaces
Great for the slick panels of cubicle walls. Tried regular 1-sided scotch tape but it would peel itself off by the end of the day. This poster tape is the perfect replacement, adheres to even the slick surface of the cubicle wall.
Several reviewers complaining about separating the backing seem to have difficulty problem solving. However, it does require some care when applying. Tear off and apply to the poster first, then I use the edge of a utility knife to separate the paper backing.

Can't get the backing off!
I love this tape and would have given it 5 stars, but would love for you to make the sticky part the slightest bit narrower, so I can get the backing off!!! (might save you a bit as well!)

The backing will not even come off- Do not buy!!
I tried for over 10 minutes to get the thick backing off and had other family members try and it is very difficult and not worth buying unless you want to spend 5 hours to make your tape. I have fingernails and it would not work. Also it is so thin and you need alot of tape for it to actually stick. Worthless and expensive.

i bought this product thinking it was removable, hence the name, but it most absolutely is NOT removable. it works great as a permanent bond because that is totally and regretfully what happened to pictures i stuck to a birthday poster.

Complete Rip-off
Reading the other reviews just now, Scotch already knows this product is crap and has had plenty of time to fix the issue, but no, it's still Crap. I have tried every method of application and no matter what I do, I cannot separate the paper from the tape without removing the tape as well. You have a lot of nerve continuing to market such garbage. I want my money back!

This is the most worthless piece of junk I have ever seen. It is impossible to get the backing off to even use it. Had to trash the entire roll.

Awesome product, tips for use
I've read reviews from people who have trouble removing the paper from the tape. If you place the tape on the poster first, run your finger nail or stiff object along the the edges and then separate the paper from the tape, it works like a dream. I use this tape all the time in my sign making business and it has no equal! Holds fast and comes off cleanly and easily. I recommend it to all my clients and sometimes give them a roll with their order. I only wish it came in larger rolls so I wouldn't have to waste all that plastic packaging!
