Dritz eyelet pliersThis Dritz eyelet pliers does not work with their own 1/4 eyelets! When these pliers are used with the crimping tools as per the directions, the eyelets are crushed. The hand tools that come with the eyelets work well. Do not buy this hand tool for 1/4 eyelets. 1/4

Eyelet tool is the wrong sizeI have been using Dritz brand 1/4" eyelets, a hammer, and the accompanying manual tool to apply eyelets for the last few years. I figured it would be worth it to upgrade to their eyelet punch/plier tool to save time.
While the pliers themselves are easy enough to use, the Dritz brand 1/4" pliers comes with inserts that do not fit their own brand 1/4" eyelets. Every eyelet I have punched has come out bent and misshapen, even with multiple rounds of practice. The inserts are far too big for their 1/4" eyelets, so they don't sit securely when I go to press the pliers. The difference in size between the manual tool and the plier tool is astonishing.
I unfortunately will be going back to hand-hammering all of my eyelets, this purchase was not worth it.

Perfect[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great set of eyelet pliers. These pliers will do 1/4" and 5/32" eyelets. This set has everything you need to do eyelets with ease. The hand grips are rubber coated for comfort. I would recommend these pliers to anyone.

Great![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent product. Sturdy tool, fast and easy to use. The tool is well designed, it has rubber ends which hold the pieces apart before you clamp them together. I also like how the tool has a hole in one of the arm ends so you can better see where you are placing the snap on the garment. Would purchase again.

Cuts through even the thickest material! If you need to punch holes in anything, this is the tool to use. I've used it to punch through layers of denim, leather, canvas, plastic, etc. It cuts it so smoothly. I've used it to make doll shoes, purses, corsets, and many other things.

Broke on 2nd eyelet installedI used this eyelet installer twice, and while installing the second eyelet an important piece broke. It's hard to describe, but while the tool requires changing around different metal pieces depending on if you are using 5/32 or 1/4" eyelets, and if you're installing the eyelets or making the holes in preparation. Frustrating to spend so much money and have the piece break on its second use!
