Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple Necessity Such a necessity in any sewing kit. This product is a good value, it’s cheap, but it serves its purpose.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn’t work I needed a new seam ripper so I ordered one of these because it’s cheap. When I got it, the safety ball thing was melted down onto the blade, so it didn’t actually work. I tried to scrape it off but its still not working.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always have multiples on hand. I have bought this same seam ripper for years. I have tried so many others that cost so much more, but I always come back to this one. It has a small point that is able to get in between dense stitches. The cutter is so sharp you do have to be careful about cutting your fabric. But it sure is nice to have a sharp cutter to get in there to slice through a wad of threads that your sewing machine has jammed together. It is tiny, and that is the one negative thing I have to say about it. Oh and the cap falls off easily and gets lost. I have lost so many of these over my sewing lifetime, 61 years, I should own stock in the company. The older I get the harder it is to hold on to it. But I will not give up this little wonder of a seam ripper. I just buy a bunch when they go on sale.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from too small to hold In the tiny print on the website it says "3.5 inches." It's only that long with the cap used as part of the handle. If I had known that, I would not have bought this. Not a big deal, but the description is unclear and the product hard to use.
