Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just a deceiving image As with most products on this site an adequate description in missing. The set is small. The package measures 3.5 inches tall. The handle is too small for my arthritic hands. The handle is plastic with rough edges that will certainly snag the yarn

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needle Punch Kit After I bought this I was of the same opinion as most of the others and thinking this is junk. I was determined to get it to work right for me and I did. Now I believe it is a very good product, except for the wire that comes with it. Do yourself a favor and throw that away. I went back to Joanns and bought a long needle threader. They sold 2 types at mine. In the needle craft section they sell one that looks like a regular one with a long (about 5") wire. They have another one that is better. The one I bought it PERFECT. It is the Dritz Serger Needle Threader, model 907, and it was with the regular sewing machine notions. This threader has a long tube (about 5"), with the wire at the end that is about the same size as a regular threader (about 1"). This little gem slides right into the hollow needle (from the slanted edge) and all the way through the plastic handle of the punch needle. Just pull your thread right through it. You need to remember to pull the thread through the eye of the hollow needle too after pulling the thread through the needle. I am now going through 1 long strand in less than 3 minutes, including threading time. The punch needle feels much sturdier than the other punch needles because it has a heavier plastic handle with a metal end piece. I LOVE IT!! One other tip I have is to use a piece of fabric or some time of rubber grip to tighten the screw. As one reviewer said, it comes loose and the needle collapses into the handle. Annoying! Tightening it good fixed that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from no instructions While this product says "no instructions, it would have been nice to have some idea of how to use the wire (no eye) to thread the needlepunch needle.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Actually, knitting needles often DO come with instructions of how to cast on and basic stitching and gauge - as do some crochet hooks. Most punch needles give basic threading information. Unfortunately, on the internet you can't pick up the package and see so you are at a dis-advantage. If you GOOGLE punch needle, you will get some good basic information on how to use this tool so you can, in fact still use it. Also, our local library has books on it. I agree - let's not be so harsh to newby crafters. Everyone starts somewhere and it's much better to give helpful resourceful information than to act like you know everything & look down your nose at a newby. Just makes you look bad - not the newby.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Common sense One doesn't expect to get instructions on how to knit with the purchase of knitting needles... Item is a good value.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No instructions=not able to use!! I'm very new at this hobby and expected SOME directions as to how to use the set. With none, I'm forced to search the web for information. I won't be buying this kind of item again.
