HorribleI was looking for a velvet to match what I already had at home for a runway look. I mentioned how sparse and different this looked and felt but I didn't have the other velvet with me. Frankly I didn't realize there were so many different kinds. This feels cheap and plastic to the touch. Its stiff and it sounds like a windbreaker jacket on the back. It's ugly and the velvet itself feels scratchy, not smooth and soft. You can see the difference in the photo. Left is the soft beautiful one. Right is this awful one.

Great light absorption!I’m using this to line the walls of my theater room and it is working great. Just need a staple gun and it pulls tight with no ripping or sagging.

MeltedThis fabric is terrible! I ordered it for pickup so I didn’t see it before purchasing. I was using it to make a 1980’s style Christmas dress. Well, I thought it felt plasticy, but I didn’t listen to my gut, and when I attempted to iron the seams open, it melted! The wrong side feels terrible, so I wouldn’t use this to make garments in the future. This is awful, and extremely expensive, especially for such poor quality

Not worth itThis is the worst velvet I have ever met. The ground feels like plastic, and the pile is sparse and velcro-y. It feels extremely cheap and sweaty. I actually got a rash when I cut it. If you need velvet to wear in the mud, I guess this is good. I threw the whole thing out.

Poor Quality FabricWish I had read the reviews before I purchased this velvet. I had to use fusible interfacing to keep it together and I don't think the seams will hold for long. I have never had this problem sewing with velvet before. Add a higher quality product to your store inventory, please.

Wonderful fabric! This is one of the softer velvet's at the store, it drapes well and has a nice rich color. It is hard to sew at times (coming from a beginner), but that is to be expected with a velvet. I would recommend this particular velvet!
