Rated 1 out of 5 by from Joann messed up Ordered 8 yards of this fabric for a large project. They sent two lengths of 4 yards. The two lengths were clearly not from the same dye lot and do not match each other. I can no longer use this fabric that I paid almost $15.00/yard on plus shipping. This has been a massive waste of money. The fabric is beautiful but I do need them to be the same darn color. Come on, Joann's. Really??

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I expected Terrible fabric. It is scratchy, heavy and just not good for clothing at all. I should have read the reviews before purchasing, but for whatever reason, I did not do so this time around. Very, very disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They made it worse! I've ordered this many times before. It was a nice sturdy, authentic-looking linen-rayon blend. The most recent time, they sent me something that looks and feels way more synthetic and is thinner and droopier, more like gauze. If you're going to change a product that much, you should list it as something new, not the same one! It's drastically different.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A little scratchy, but does the job! I used this to sew a Little Black Dress for a birthday party. I lined the dress with a reeeeally cheap, thin, crisp cotton. The fabrics worked well together structurally. I loved the slub look of the linen. It’s just had an ever so slightly scratchy texture. I would use this again if a softer option could not be found. I’m hoping it softens a bit with washing,

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Super thick and heavy I chose this because the other linen blends were too see-through for dresses, but this turned out so heavy it’s like wearing a canvas tent. It’s also scratchy and hot, which defeats the purpose of linen. And then the neck of my dress stretched out so bad I have to put pleats in it. Overall not impressed. Spend a little more and get real linen from a reputable source.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hopsack fabric Nothing like I expected or viewed on-line. Terrible fabric, shrunk and shedded when I prewashed it. Didn't want to waste my time working with it. Disposed of it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Should be called "Burlap Sack Linen Fabric" Okay so there is probably no burlap in here but WOW did this fabric wash up terribly. I used a cool gentle cycle with a low heat air dry and it came out feeling like the fabric a goblin would wear. And I don't just mean heavy--it is certainly a bottomweight fabric--it was scratchy! Scratchy beyond all belief! I love linen, which is why I bought this, but this is not like linen at all. Save yourself the hassle and buy linen from a quality fabric store, not Joannes. What will I do with the 3 yards I bought, intended for brown linen overalls? Make brown curtains? Maybe grow pots for my vegetable garden? Sell them to Frodo? Who knows...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor blend, not linen-like at all If you notice, all the positive reviews for this fabric are old. I bought some spring of 2021 to make a dress, but I can't use it. It is too stiff, even after machine washing and drying. I cut a sample and washed it again, but it did not change. The fabric uses rayon or viscose for the warp and linen for the weft (or vice-versa, I can't argue) and is only half linen. The other half must have been changed because there is no drape in this. It is very attractive fabric, but unlike other rayon/linen blends I have purchased, it does not soften, at least not after two washings. I will probably use it for overalls or pants.
