Not the best tool for wood burning
I bought this last week and after using it several times I'm just convinced that this isn't a very good wood burner. It does not get hot enough to leave a mark upon a steady stroke and I end up with a lot of ineve. scorch marks while trying to go back and correct an area.

Broke
One of the bits broke off in it (yes, it was cooled down when I tried to unscrew it) so now it's completely worthless and I can't use it.

Fun tool.
I have no experience and this is my first wood burning tool. I tried to just see what I could do wihtout watching videos and it did not turn out that bad and I was able to learn my own style but I do recommend watching videos for helpful hints. I was able to control the heat and I did not have nay trouble getting the heads to stay in.

When I was looking for this tool it was the only one offered but it was a kit. I didn’t want the kit but was unable to find the knife without it vbeing part of the kit. JoAnns does offer the single packaged knife which I found after I had ordered the kit. Much easier to use this product over a trimming razor blade cutter.

Not hot enough
I bought this to cut grosgrain ribbon (bias cut, sealed edges). It simply does not get hot enough. We tried a variety of heat settings and even at the maximum, the cut was difficult and never fully cut the ribbon. We tried holding the blade on the ribbon, slicing, and for our project, this is not the best tool. I'll be headed to the hardware store for a hot knife instead. This might work for other projects but not for ribbon.
