Rated 5 out of 5 by Kathleen from Excellent I'm working on a special banner as a gift and embroidered the person's name and special message on it. After I finished the embroidery, I rinsed the fabric to get the water soluble pen markings out. Much to my dismay, after the fabric dried, I found that the dark blues had run into the whites. I didn't want to have to start all over, so I researched and found Rit Dye Remover. I mixed 1/4 teaspoon of powder with 1/4 cup of boiling water and let it cool. I carefully painted the white strips of the fabric with a fine paint brush, staying first 1/4 inch then 1/8 inch away from the dark blue design. I left it to dry. When I came back, I was thrilled to find the banner with clean whites and bold blues, just like new! Excellent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kate from Color remover worked great! I accidentally dyed some of my husband's underclothes pink. I tried bleach - no luck. I remembered Rit and bought some. Washed according to directions and it worked terrifically. Whites are white again. I think the trick is NOT to heat dry the stained clothes before using the remover. Heat can set the stain and make it permanent. I air dried my things until I could use the color remover.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Michelle from The pink is gone! My white cotton summer shirt ended up pink after being washed with a red item. Tries soaking it in OxyClean, tried bleaching it etc. Nothing worked. Saw this product at JoAnnes and gave it a try. Worked immediately! Very happy with the results. Make sure that you have the correct amount of product to water ratio. If you have too little product it may not be as successful. I soaked my shirt for a few minutes in a bucket that contained the solution then put it all into the washer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dang it. I had a shirt that had both white and red on it, and the red somehow turned slightly pink (it might have been another shirt that was the offender, but I'm not sure). The dye remover made it about ten times worse; it went from being a slight pink tint that I could still get away with to 'woah, that's pink' pink. =( There goes that shirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Frances from Works wonder I messed up my white clothes by washing them with a red shower gown: all becomes pinkish. I bought this online, but before it has reached me, I got one from local Jo-ann. After I dissolve the power into hot water with the clothes, within 30 seconds, the clothes all become white again!! I am very satisfied!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Susan from Saved my clothing I used this product on several expensive pieces of white clothing. I didn't hold out much hope. But when I took them out of the washer, the rust had disappeared. I'd definitely buy it again.
