  • Boye® long loom set

DIRECTIONS:

Use the size loom for 14 double pegs.

To start foundation:
Top row is A and bottom row is B
Start with figure 8 cast on. Make slipknot and attach to side peg.
Wrap top A1 counterclockwise and go to 1B clockwise.
Keep making figure 8s to the right side of loom.
After you wrap 14 A on top, pull the yarn towards you and wrap 14B and then again go up and wrap 14 A. Push yarn down on pegs.
Retrace steps and go back to beginning pegs. Wrap 1A and then wrap 1B.
Hold yarn and begin knitting off the loops across A pegs, and knit over bottom loops of B pegs.

Continue with Stockinette also called double knitting with top and bottom pegs.
Using the original foundation yarn, start with wrapping around bottom peg, B1 and up to A2, down to B3 up to A4. Continue to end of row and then return to left and catch the pegs you missed.
End with A1.
Knit off all the bottom loops across the top and bottom pegs.
Continue with original yarn for 20 rows.

To change colors, tie new color to the 3rd stitch in the center of work leaving a 5" tail and lay it along the center.
Tie the old working yarn to the new tail and also cut it and lay it along the center. These will be covered up by the next few rows.

Work in pattern for the scarf in stockinette stitch. Use the following pattern or create your own.
When changing colors you can cut and lay them along the center of pegs or leave at end and weave the ends in at end of scarf.
