Silk pins

Glass is much better then plastic.
The pins are wonderful! With the glass head, I won't burn or melt it when I have to press a seam. They are sharp and easy to use.

Dritz Glass Head Pins
I love glass head pins. I can iron over them as needed without spending time unpining and repining. The multicolored heads allow me to color code as I work. I often use color to denote specific areas I am focusing on. These pins are sturdy, they hold up, and do not bend which is a real plus.

Pretty Pins
I've been wanting some "pretty pins" for a while. My collection of old, somewhat crooked straight pins was sparse and hard to see on fabric. These pins are sturdy, the perfect length for what I need and easy to pull out as I sew.

Depends what you're looking for
These pins get points for being sturdy and well-made, but they aren't as sharp as others I've used. Perhaps that's the trade-off for being a bit stronger. It takes a little extra effort to push them through the fabric, but they probably won't bend on you.

Nice length
These pins are slightly longer than the standard 1-1/16" pins, yet not long like the quilting pins. The head is not super large, nor is it too long to grasp. These pins suit my needs perfectly for sewing.

VERY useful
Sooner or later (like others I'm sure) I find myself ironing over a pin or two. I've been using those pretty plastic head pins and ironing over them is a disaster! It was time to upgrade so I bought these. They're great - the glass heads will never melt. I almost wish I'd bought a longer length, but these do the job nicely and I'll most likely be buying more.

I bought this 2 months back for blocking my crochet pieces. it was the perfect thickness, quite sturdy and long enough for this purpose. the quality was very good with no roughness, pointed tips and no rustiness.

Wonderful pins!
I bought these on recommendation from my Learn To Sew instructor. I'm very glad I took her advice. They are easy to use, and even working with knits and spandex I have not seen them damage the fabric. Ironing over them is no problem at all. They are very easy to see when you drop them due to the brightly colored heads.
