Unpleasant Surprises
Just a heads up, these are labeled as shadowboxes but the printed insert included in the packaging hides the fact that the backing is a single low quality board pierced all the way through by multiple wall hangers. Unless you plan to put something in the box that fills the entire 11x14 inches then plan on having to add a matt in the back to hide the hangers. In addition, the backer boards in all four of the frames I purchased each had one corner that appeared to have been squashed. I can only assume that happened prior to assembly since the frames around the boards weren't also damaged... The only reason I'm even giving it three stars is because the frame itself was decent enough that at half price I can afford to go buy additional matting to cover the backs of the boxes.
